Anna Wintour is now a voting member of the Metropolitan Museum's board.
Thirteen Met galas have finally paid off.
Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour, who has been an honorary trustee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art for more than 10 years, has been named an elective trustee of the museum. Her new position makes her a voting member of the board, Women’s Wear Daily reports.
Wintour has been co-chairing benefits at the Met since 1995 and has raised approximately $85 million for the Costume Institute throughout her time working on the galas. (The May 2 event for the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition raised $10.4 million—a new record.)
And get all the dish from the McQueen extravaganza.
