Emma Stone Covers Vogue, Talks Lanvin and Living Her Dream
No Help needed, Emma Stone is quickly becoming 'Hollywood's sweetheart', dominating the silver screen one blockbuster at a time and scoring a coveted Mario Testino-lensed Vogue cover.
The 23-year-old, who is starring alongside her real-life boyfriend Andrew Garfield in the summer hit, The Amazing Spider-Man, fronts Vogue's July's issue, her first-ever Vogue cover.
“Working with Emma was like diving into a thrilling, twisting river and never holding on to the sides,” says her Spider-Man costar Andrew Garfield. “From the start. To the end. Spontaneous. In the moment. Present. Terrifying. Vital. The only way acting with someone should be.”
From her spunky brunette character in Superbad to her quirky role in The Help, and now as a brainy blonde in The Amazing Spider-Man, Stone is no longer a budding actress or a style newbie, but a powerhouse on the red carpet and the silver screen.
“It feels like it’s happening to a different person," says Emma.
Stone, whose fashion icons include Diane Keaton and Charlie Chaplin and favorite labels include Lanvin and Giambattista Valli, has been cultivating her own unique style: a blend of eclectic-chic and playful-glamour.

In the July issue, Stone wears everything from a Prada silk-and-wool hexagon-print pant suit to a Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci baby blue–and–orange satin dress with lace appliqués, pulling off the androgynous menswear-inspired items just as well as the sexy lace-embellished dresses.
“This is what fashion does for people,” Stone says. “It makes them feel like it’s an extension of themselves."
Vogue’s July issue hits newsstands nationwide on June 26th.
