Step aside, Michael Pitt. Though the dreamy Boardwalk Empire actor (and beau to fellow model Jamie Bochert) was the face of Prada for Spring, the Italian brand has picked a quartet of leading men to usher in the Fall season.
Gary Oldman, Garrett Hedlund, Jamie Bell and Willem Dafoe—who, along with the likes of Adrien Brody and Emile Hirsch, walked in Prada’s Fall 2012 menswear show in Milan back in January—star in the corresponding David Sims-shot ads, a dramatic campaign that Prada likens in a press release to “portraits hung in the halls of a modern palace.”

"In the campaign each leading man plays a different archetype, layering codes of dress in a subtle parody of power and role-play,” the brand explains. “Their contemporary character study of manners and meaning reveals a new set of rules for the modern gentleman’s attitude to dressing.”
Looks like buttoned-up is back for the boys. Wonder if Brad Pitt's forthcoming Chanel No. 5 ad will follow suit?
