Going, going, gone!
Carey Mulligan’s Met Gala dress, a custom Prada creation, is officially off the block. The actress put her dress on eBay following the Gala’s festivities, auctioning it off to benefit Oxfam America, and the dress has been sold for $2,950.
It’s a pretty penny to be sure, but for a dress that’s walked that famed red carpet on style star Mulligan, it seems like the bidding was a bit low, particularly considering Prada’s normal ready-to-wear is already generally in the four figures (while a custom piece can go for much more). Still, nearly $3,000 for a good cause is nothing to frown about.
