PETA has made no secret of its feelings toward Kim Kardashian. While sister Khloe has posed nude for the organization’s famous “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaign, Kim has actually been the target of a PETA billboard—and not in a good way.

And though Kardashian’s recent assault with cooking flour on the red carpet was determined to be unrelated to PETA, the organization is still sticking up for the reality star’s attacker.

Kardashian initially said that she wouldn’t press charges against the unidentified woman, but she recently reconsidered. “I am just going to think about it, because I don’t want someone to think they can really get away with that,” she said. “So we are going to handle that.”

She might get more than she bargained for: PETA has offered to pay the woman’s legal fees.

“We don’t believe Kim would be so shortsighted as to go after this woman,” a PETA spokesperson told Celebuzz, “but if she does, we’ll definitely look at how to maximize exposure to the cruel fur industry, and that could mean defending the activist if she wishes.”
