Marilyn Monroe Licensing Deal Will See Dior Campaign, Fashion Ventures
Resting in peace is for amateurs.
Though she's been dead for nearly 50 years, Marilyn Monroe will soon be back to work thanks to Authentic Brands Group LLC's acquiring of her intellectual property rights, a deal estimated at $20 to $30 million, WWD reports.
The iconic blonde's name and likeness can now be licensed for advertising campaigns and even film appearances. And while ABG is still negotiating a health and beauty deal as well as a fashion venture encompassing sportswear and denim, it has already reportedly secured Monroe a starring role in an upcoming Christian Dior beauty campaign.
