Rihanna's Reb'l Fleur Commercial
The first commercial for Rihanna's Reb'l Fleur fragrance appears to have taken inspiration from Black Swan—the flame-haired pop star transitions from a candy-pink strapless dress paired with a birdcage veil and a pink feathered fan to a matching raven-black number with a wing-style train.
In a sharp contrast to her controversial, latex-clad "S&M" video, the romantic ad sees the future Vogue cover star lounging on a bed of undulating pink feathers that mimic a blossoming flower petal.
After spying a handsome devil in a tux, Rihanna runs off and slips through a mirror, emerging in a black vixenish getup.
The singer then clutches her Reb'l Fleur fragrance bottle to her thigh as her love interest pulls her in for an embrace, before slipping back through the mirror and returning to her feathered perch. All that's missing are the girls in tutus.
Like the movie, the ad plays with the idea of doubles, good vs. bad, and bird motifs. But hey, if it bagged Natalie Portman an Oscar nomination, it could surely mean a big sales push for Rihanna.
