OVERALL TAKEAWAY: Queen Elizabeth mixed with Debbie Harry? Just go with it.

For Spring 2013, Dame Vivienne Westwood looked to two of Andy Warhol's most famous subjects with a collection that mixed regal curled wigs and floral crowns with punky dip-dyed locks and painted faces to mimic Warhol's screenprints.

Ironically, we couldn't help thinking of another Warhol muse, Elizabeth Taylor, when it came to the clothes themselves. For all of her ties with the androgynous punk look, Westwood knows how to make clothes that flatter a womanly figure, and Spring's 2013 wares had that '50s-esque, ladylike aesthetic that look best on hourglass shapes (hooray!).

Retro one-piece bodysuits mingled with pleated skirts, capri pants, and twin sets with pussy bows, while dresses ranged from Westwood's signature structured, va-va-voom numbers to bold prints to more boyish shirtdresses in diagonal stripes.

But perhaps the show's biggest style statement was the one Westwood herself made when she came out to take her bow in a helmet and high-waisted hot pants, not bad for a woman in her 70s! With black handlebar moustache smeared on her face, she paraded down the catwalk with a banner reading 'Climate Revolution.' An outspoken advocate for addressing climate change, the designer couldn't resist using her show as a platform. More power to her!
