OVERALL TAKEAWAY: After making her name with her bowl-shaped waists, Mary Katrantzou is banking on a looser, more forgiving silhouette for Spring 2013.
The clanging sound of a cash register ringing was a fitting song choice for the start of the show, with lovely prints inspired by postage stamps and banknotes adorning trapeze gowns and drop-waist maxis in shades of blue, black, green, and white with the occasional shot of yellow.
A toothy black trim mimicked the edges of a postage stamp, while sleek, slim-fitting pantsuits (no shirt, obvs) featured global currency prints in soft metallics.
And take note, denim fans: The show also marked the launch of a collaboration with Current/Elliott, which saw stamps running down the legs. Signed, sealed, delivered, I'm yours!
