SHOW: Chris Benz (See the full runway collection)

ACCESSORIES: Tall, wide-brim hats; large-bead jewelry; major shoes by Alejandro Ingelmo

HAIR: John Ruidant for Redken; hair could only be described as elegantly gnarled

MAKEUP: Daniel Martin for Lancôme; blue eye shadow and nails in either black or red

OVERALL TAKEAWAY: Quirky luxury

There’s no question Chris Benz knows what his girl wants––fresh pieces each season that showcase a luxury lifestyle with a quirky sensibility.

So even though his Fall 2011 collection is a bit more muted (for Benz) in the color department than in seasons past, there were pieces for everyone from Jessica Szohr to Susan Sarandon, both of whom were in attendance.

A belted plaid midi dress in a mustard yellow tone could be accessorized in any direction, depending on the wearer. A gray coat that straddled military with its buttons and princess with its swing will be a must-have for Benz girls of all ages.

As expected, there were a few standouts that would only look good on a model—or Elettra Wiedemann, close friend and advocate of Benz—like the trio of tiered printed frocks in both blues and reds.

But there were also some sweet pieces in the mix that were fit for anyone looking to try on the Benz brand of precious style: a midi black pencil skirt with a faux black belt and a modest front slit; a sleeveless black trapeze dress with an asymmetrical hemline; or the long, muted colorblock skirts that suggested a fish-tail hem without being quite so dramatic.

It may not be a collection full of surprises, but we know those looking to Chris Benz for their next installment will surely find their fix.
