For Fall 2011, Erin Fetherston put her eponymous line on hold in favor of Erin, a new, gentler-priced collection from the platinum blonde designer. One might not think Fetherston is ubiquitous enough to go by a single name—but when your vision is as singular as hers is, maybe just Erin is all you need.
Fetherston is clearly her own best customer (she even sported the same braided do worn by the models at her Milk Studios presentation), and this collection, while not shocking or directional, offered plenty of the sweet cocktail attire for which Fetherston has become known.
Pleated swing dresses, Grecian minis with tassel belts, gold Lurex-laced shift dresses, wrap dresses, slip dresses—yes, it was a dress-centric collection. Even the separates were strictly evening fare; think tux jackets with slouchy sequin pants.
If it wasn’t quite as saccharine as in seasons past (Fetherston is, after all, a designer who has made a name for herself with princessy sweetness), it was still pretty, pretty, pretty—but that’s just Erin, no?
