OVERALL TAKEAWAY: Rag & Bone's signature downtown cool with an overall look of sharp sophistication
The Rag & Bone Fall 2012 collection showcased the label's signature downtown-chic style with an expert understanding of mixing prints and materials in a way that was edgy, while at the same time utterly chic and opulent.
The colors were warm fall shades and earthy tones with a focus on blacks and grey while pops of rich red gave the color scheme an element of hidden luxury and ornateness.
Big slouchy ponchos were cinched at the waist with thick brown leather belts for a comfy-chic appeal, while embellished shoulders and leather and fur accents gave each piece of knitwear a hit of rock and roll.
Separates in tribal-inspired patterns, wide stripes and tapestry prints were mixed with ease and layered with structured pieces of outerwear for a surprisingly polished end result.
Marcus Wainwright and David Neville know how to create coats and separates that have a classic durability and luxurious chicness while still expertly maintaining their aura of urban tough.
