Lunch Break: 3.1 Phillip Lim Releases Comic Book for Fall 2012

The designer bridges another pop culture gap (he is, after all, reverently name-checked in several hip-hop verses) with a comic book entitled "Kill the Night" commemorating the arrival of his Fall 2012 collection.

Lim cowrote the book, drawn by Jan Duursema of the Star Wars comics, with John Ostrander as a nod to his spark for the collection. Duality and metamorphosis, themes in the inspiration jump-offs like 'Sin City' and 'V for Vendetta', served as creative stimuli, as did the comic heroines.
You can get your hands on a limited-edition copy by visiting the site before the official launch at Fashion's Night Out. That evening, all shoppers will receive a signed copy (and a 15% discount) with every purchase.
