Mercedes Benz Fall 2012 Fashion Week kicked off Wednesday night with the annual Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection fashion show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.
As the main event of the Heart Truth Campaign, which raises awareness of the risk of heart disease in women, the runway extravaganza always brings together an eclectic array of famous faces including celebs, fashion insiders, and this year, an Olympic athlete.
14-time Olympic gold medalist, Michael Phelps, sat front row to watch his mother, Debbie Phelps walk the runway in a stunning Adrianna Papell floor-length gown.
