Anne Hathaway was the epitome of elegance in a black strapless dress by Giambattista Valli at the 2011 Kennedy Center Honors gala in Washington, D.C.
From the designer's Resort 2012 collection, the column style kept things chic and sophisticated, while a bow detail at the bodice added a flirty touch.
The newly engaged actress accessorized with an antique diamond star choker, diamond stud earrings, and a 1920s diamond bangle bracelet, all from Fred Leighton.
Bold lips and a tight bun completed Hathaway's black-tie look.
