Kirsten Dunst went retro in a Rodarte black-lace-and-tulle mermaid gown with green wool crisscross bodice and halter neckline at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival premiere of Melancholia.
Fresh off the Fall 2011 runway, the dress marked the first appearance of a Rodarte design at Cannes—and who better to pull it off then one of Kate and Laura Mulleavy's closest friends and biggest supporters.
Polka-dots on the sheer lace gave the number an on-trend edge, while a Swarovski crystal-embellished zipper along the side upped the glam factor.
The 29-year-old actress accessorized with an emerald cuff and drop earrings by Bulgari; Dunst currently fronts the brand's fragrance campaign.
