A beauty industry icon has passed: Vidal Sassoon, the legendary hairstylist, died at his Los Angeles home, the L.A. Times reports today. He was 84.

The brand has just released its Spring 2012 campaign video, featuring actress Mia Wasikowska in an array of ensembles and over-the-top accessories (giant cameo earrings, anyone?).

After being snapped with a surfboard for a Givenchy campaign and posing poolside for Versace, the supermodel is donning a black bikini and beachy waves—plus plenty of layered necklaces, naturally—for her latest campaign for jeweler David Yurman.
