Chanel Launches Holiday 2012 Makeup Collection

The crisp autumn air, pumpkin spice lattes and sweater-clad store mannequins getting you in the holiday spirit yet?

As quickly as summer came and went, Halloween, Turkey Day and the onslaught of festive holiday cheer are bound to creep up on us more quickly then we can swap our crop tops for cozy knits.

One chic step ahead of the game, Chanel has launched its Holiday makeup collection, so as you can get a head start on that sure-to-be endless wish list.

For the festive makeup line, Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, Peter Philips, was inspired by the alchemy of precious metals, featuring gold and bronze shimmer eye dusts, with a selection of violet-plum red to smoky taupe lipsticks and nail colors.

Sure to make it on every beauty Holiday gift guide, the packaging of the collection's Quadra Eyeshadow Palette ($65 each) is just as glamorous as the shadow's rich wintery hues. Embossed with a quilted effect and the iconic CC monogram, each powder shadow is reminiscent of the classic Chanel jacket button.

The rest of the collection includes a Natural Finish Loose Powder in a warm peach shade ($52) a Powder Blush in delicate pink ($43) and Luminous Matte Lip Color in deep burgundy or velvety pink ($32.50).
