Julien David was born in Paris, trained in New York, and is currently based in Tokyo, and all three cities come through in his wares. The designer started out with witty scarves (one season, the theme was computer hacking; another season, it was pills), and now his full ready-to-wear collection is available at the coolest of the cool boutiques, like Colette in Paris and the Webster in Miami.
