Kate Middleton's Portrait Revealed!
When you're commissioned to paint the portrait of the Duchess of Cambridge, you would want to make sure the Duchess looked as beautiful and ageless as possible, right?
The official portrait of Kate Middleton was revealed this morning and while she calls it "absolutely brilliant," we can't help but say "ehh..."
Commissioned by Britain's National Portrait Gallery, the Scottish artist Paul Emsley accurately painted the Duchess' luscious hair, but made her face look about 10-20 years older than it really is.
While Middleton told Emsley that "she would like to be portrayed naturally — her natural self — as opposed to her official self," we find it hard to believe that she would want a portrait that looked like she was in serious need of some botox.
What do you think of the artwork? Spot on, or in need of a youthful lift?
