Kate Lanphear Is Appointed New Style Director at T
Lanphear has landed ..at T Magazine!
When news was released back in November that beloved Elle style director Kate Lanphear would be leaving the magazine after more than five years, industry insiders started speculating where the street style veteran would end up.
Following a wave of departures from the Hearst publication, rumors started circulating that Lanphear and Elle accessorie's director Kate Davidson Hudson had their sights on starting a brand new magazine called Editorialist.
According to Fashionista, fashion journalist Jim Shi tweeted the following earlier today, “Kate Lanphear has joined T: The New York Times Style Magazine as style director. She’ll be at the upcoming women’s shows with Team T.”
T Magazine retweeted Jim Shi's tweet, confirming the rumor as reality in the Twittersphere.
Deborah Needleman, who left WSJ to replace Sally Singer as the EIC at T in September, is planning to give the New York Times style tome a serious makeover, with Lanphear as a valuable addition to the new T team!
