Glamour in the (White) House!

Host Jimmy Kimmel may have joked that the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner on April 28 was the "nerd prom," but a parade of Hollywood beauties in ravishing red carpet creations ensured that there was no shortage of eye candy.

Though First Lady Michelle Obama dared to make a bold printed statement with her strapless paisley organza Naeem Khan gown, many of her A-list guests opted for more conservative numbers in basic black.

Well, not that conservative. A pregnant Anna Paquin showed off her baby bump in a cut-out Hervé L. Leroux gown with a plunging neckline, while fellow mama-to-be Reese Witherspoon channeled Old Hollywood with retro waves, blue Irene Neuwirth drop earrings, and a draped black dress from her bridal designer, Monique Lhuillier.

Reese Witherspoon, Sofia Vergara, Anna Paquin and Charlize Theron.

Sofia Vergara wowed in a strapless black David Meister cocktail dress with Christian Louboutin peep-toe heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, while Charlize Theron sizzled in Emilio Pucci's nude and black lace long-sleeved creation, which she paired with Manolo Blahnik heels and a Judith Leiber clutch.

Claire Danes, Dakota Fanning, Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson.

Kate Hudson's purple sequined Jenny Packham gown, Viola Davis' shimmering orange-red Amsale number, and Elizabeth Banks' scarlet peplum-waisted Antonio Berardi  all provided a splash of color, while Dakota Fanning turned heads in a silvery-blue embellished Prada dress boasting a peek of midriff. Our little girl's growing up!

After wearing Topshop Unique to last year's Met Costume Institute Gala, Ginnifer Goodwin gave the high street another sartorial shoutout with her white organic cotton and silk bouclé top and dramatic organza plissé meringue skirt from H&M's Red Carpet Conscious Collection. Claire Danes also adopted the bridal look, modeling a slinky white Vivienne Westwood gown with a draped neckline.

Viola Davis, Zooey Deschanel and Elizabeth Banks.

Last but not least, Zooey Deschanel found her quirky style footing in Oscar de la Renta's gray strapless gown with silver, polka-dot-esque embellishments. Louboutin heels, a red pout, and her signature teased bouffant completed the look.

We're sure the Prez—and the press—was impressed.
