“That photo was taken outside the White House, when her dad was President. She had three older brothers, and they were a very athletic family, so I think she sort of had to be sporty and up for anything by default. But what I love about that photo is the idea of washing your car. Remove the idea that it’s at the White House. It’s such a classic American girl-next-door visual. Her outfit’s great, and those sunglasses are perfect. The White House in the background is just icing on the cake.”
