OVERALL TAKEAWAY: A distinct blend of whimsical prints and bold warm hues, Rachel Roy's Spring 2013 collection built upon the natural elements theme of her Fall 2012 line, with similar refined silhouettes designed for the strong modern woman.

Whimsical nature-inspired prints from floating dandelions and abstract geometric garden patterns found their way across blazers, pants and floaty dresses.

An electric color palette of deep coral, electric purple, pink and burnt orange was offset by soft, earthy neutral shades.

From silk and chiffon to eyelet and raffia, fabrics moved with such ladylike fluidity, flattering the feminine shape with a sophisticated softness.

Wide leg pants, jumpsuits, pleated floor-length dresses and sleek separates, the collection was a delicate blend of menswear-inspired and ladylike aesthetics, with an edgy urban undercurrent highlighting the strong woman theme.
