J.Crew Spring 2013 RTW
SHOW: J. Crew, Spring 2013
THEME: Sporty-chic meets luxuriously-eclectic
ACCESSORIES: J. Crew’s envelope clutches and shoulder bags in pastel colors and floral prints, pointy cap-toe shoes in pastel shades
OVERALL TAKEAWAY: J. Crew’s third fashion week showing was another success, with an eye candy collection of bold sorbet shades and quirky prints, teamed with Jenna Lyons’s eclectic-chic sense of styling.
With Jenna’s unique mix-it-up aesthetic on overdrive, the J.Crew Spring 2013 presentation was full of sporty-luxe separates with an optimistic color palette of neon pink, soft peach, mint green and cerulean.
Silky pajama tops were worn with high-waisted slim bottoms and nautical stripes were paired with tropical floral prints. A chambray button down was tucked into a sequin pencil skirt and topped off with a baseball cap, while a neon anorak was worn over a red-and-white cocktail dress.
A collection driven by hot hues and mixing prints, Jenna continues to move J.Crew beyond its preppy-classic roots to a new level of high fashion hipster, while still maintaining that integral element of preppy polish.
