OVERALL TAKEAWAY: Zac Posen’s Spring 2013 collection was all glamour with 1940’s-inspired sweet floral prints and a whimsically romantic color palette of cream, soft orange, navy and sea green.
From an intimate setting on the terrace of Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall, a top model lineup including Naomi Campbell, Coco Rocha, Lindsey Wixson, Erin O’Connor, Karolina and Kurkova, and beyond breathtaking designs, Posen totally nailed his Spring show.
Posen’s signature sharp architecture and expert tailoring was ever present from fitted-bodice peplum top and full skirts pairings to the floor-length, corseted mermaid gowns.
All romance and over-the-top glamour, Posen sent out one masterfully-designed piece after the next, each generating waves of oohs and ahhs from the crowd, with an epic finale white jacquard organza tiered wedding gown worn by Coco Rocha.
