Market Watch: Covet

Covet Spring 2012

Admission: I have a wee obsession with eco-friendly lines. Consider it a way of doing some good while I shop, but buying and wearing sustainable fabrics just makes sense. Naturally I was thrilled to be introduced to Canadian line Covet.

Before your imagination runs wild with thick, burly coats, allow me to dish on the Spring '12 line. Softer than soft tanks, tops, and tees, spaghetti strap dresses, loose capris and shorts—all made in cottons, silks, chiffons and other natural fabrics. I assumed (wrongly) that these had to come from an L.A. brand

There were, thankfully, some sweaters as well, so the universe remained intact, no black hole opened, and the world was as it should be. Granted, these are cotton and linen sweaters, the kind that make you want to pull the sleeves down past your fingers.

The best part of Covet—other than the super-chic design and the fabrics—is the pricing! Dresses are under $200, linen shorts around $50. Seriously. Welcome to your new obsession as well.

Covet is available on Revolve Clothing and Spring '12 ships in January.
