Market Watch: Tiffany & Co. Leather Collection

 Tiffany & Co. brunch

Today, readers, I did something that nearly every woman has wanted to do: I had breakfast at Tiffany’s. I’m not talking having a coffee and bagel outside. Oh no, actual breakfast at Tiffany’s. Please feel free to jump in glee along with me.

The jewelry brand—or, as I like to call it, the happiest place in the world—held a breakfast in honor of its new Fall 2011 leather collection. The designers behind the line, Richard Lambertson and John Truex, were on hand. Truthfully? It was probably the best start to a day I've had in quite a while. Not only did I get to ogle sumptuous bags and chat up the lovely duo about everything from True Blood (verdict: Eric Northman needs to stay away from witches) and yesterday’s crazy earthquake, but we chowed down on delicious food. Lobster egg tart and blueberry silver dollar pancakes? There went my pre-fashion week diet.

But back to why we were there. The bags for fall are gorgeous! But you knew that already if you’re a Lambertson Truex fan. They excel in skins and leathers, and their bags for Tiffany showcase that magic and include the company's beautiful hardware. (As well as that tell-tale blue lining. Who doesn’t love that?) The framed bags are some of my favorites, but I really like the clasped bag with a beaded strap. We've had such a non-stop boho moment, it’s great to see a little polish. What else would you expect from Tiffany’s?
