Every once in a while, you see a pack of people who are almost definitely going to a Mad Men-themed party: guys in skinny suits, tie bars, fedoras; girls in pencil skirts, scarves tied at the neck, cat-eye glasses. It’s a look that inspired everyone—designers and dressers alike. But how to sport it without looking like you’re going to a costume party?

Banana Republic teamed up with the show’s beloved costume designer, Janie Bryant, to help you do just that.

There are lace shells that could be worn with the collection’s pearl offerings and a cinched-at-the-waist skirt for those who really want to channel their inner Betty Draper—but the top could just as easily be worn with jeans and a leather jacket for a more 2011 take. A navy silk tie-neck blouse was equally versatile, as was a double-breasted gray jacket with a funnel neck.

Naturally, pencil skirts and party dresses with a ‘60s silhouette are part of the collection, as are ladylike accessories like faux-croc clutches and suede pumps, but the pieces that are really destined to be snapped up quickly are the ones that are just as now as they were back in the day: a leopard cardigan and trench.

Now, if only we could bring back the three-martini lunch...
