Resort 2012: Erin Fetherston

Erin Fetherston Resort 2012

While plenty of pretty young things have been drooling over Erin Fetherston’s extra-girlie offerings since she showed her first collection in 2007, the sticker shock might have put a bit of a damper on the shopping experience. So we can only imagine how pleased Fetherston’s followers must be with the coming of Erin, the designer’s lower-priced collection, which launched in February. (Her original line is on hold indefinitely.)

While the DNA of the brand has remained the same, the prices are drastically different: while a dress might have easily hit four-digits prices before, they now hover accessibly around $300, and they’re still topped with the kind of details Fetherston made her name on: namely, bows.

For resort, Erin’s as sweet as ever: ruffled dresses, lacy tiered dresses, one shoulder grosgrain-strapped dresses…yes, there are a lot of dresses. But what else are you supposed to wear all the time when your social calendar is booked with cocktails?
