Market Watch: Reed Krakoff

It's raining in New York—again. But if there's one thing that can pull me out of the weather doldrums, it's looking at bags. Considering my obsession with accessories, I'm shocked I only have a small, edited collection at home. (Really, I swear.) But I'm about to add to it once the pre-Fall and Fall Reed Krakoff pieces hit stores.

I've been ogling the Boxer bags (pictured above) for a while now, trying to decide if they work for me. After seeing them in person, I'm certain they do.  At this point, I'm deciding between the black calf-hair ($1,390) or the cream version with a snakeskin tie ($1,090).  Decisions, decisions.

The smaller Kit bags (above)—which are slightly larger versions of the crossbody bags in stores now—are also quite tempting, and they range in price from $990 for the leather to $30,000 for alligator. (I'll be buying the leather version.) I've never been a small bag kind of gal—though in my fantasies, one clutch is all I need for the day. (That's why they call them fantasies.) But for these, I just may make an exception.

The Boxer bags land in stores June 1, and the Kit bags are available August 1.
