Market Watch: Milly's Fall RTW and Accessories

Milly is known for making pretty clothes and bags, and that's certainly what I saw today: perfectly lovely pieces that would work for the office and a night out.

But before any of us start yawning, there were some fun details that edged things up a bit—Mongolian lamb, sequins, and bold colors that kept the collection from being too precious.

The bags were mainly buckets and minis with bold hardware. I loved the Kiki shoulder bag, which was a shaggy mass of Mongolian lamb fur and patent leather ($475). I like things a little messy, what can I say?

The clothes ranged from sequined skirt sets to even more shaggy fur. But the big winner for me was the ivory wool maxi coat.

It's clean, sophisticated, and beats wearing all black in winter. (Who am I kidding, I'll still wear all black.)

The kiddie wear was adorable and for just a minute I pondered if I could dress my nephew in a girl's faux fur coat. Would he remember cross-dressing at such a young age? There's only one way to find out.

The bags hit Milly stores come July; the clothing in August.
