Bettina's Take: Douglas Hannant and Milly Fall 2012

It was definitely Fall at the Douglas Hannant show.

The New York Public Library For The Performing Arts was transformed into a wonderland of fall foliage, with orange and yellow leaves hanging from trees and abundantly spread on the catwalk.

Ainsley Earhardt, Kimberly Guilfoyle and Gigi Stone were front row witnesses to a collection filled with classics with a twist. There was tweed, houndstooth, color blocking, wraparound belts, Sherlock Holmes hats, big bows, big collars, and of course, the evening sparkle Hannant is so famous for.

Milly by Michelle Smith's collection was young and fresh, with not a platform shoe in sight.

Short circle skirts, a shiny red crinkle patent leather funnel coat, bubble dot wool, petal skirts, and sultry black cocktail dresses were right on target for the designer's reputation for sweet clothes with a sexy edge.

Kristin Chenoweth, India de Beaufort, and Tinsley Mortimer were front row, loving every minute.
