Carolina Herrera to Receive Honorary FIT Degree

The class of 2012 has just added a style legend to its ranks.
Carolina Herrera will be presented with an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) on May 22, the school has announced.
The designer, who is no doubt whipping up one chic cap and gown to wear on the big day, is being honored for her time spent volunteering as a mentor and critic to FIT students.

Herrera will receive her diploma during the afternoon graduation ceremony, while bareMinerals founder and Bare Escentuals executive chair Leslie Blodgett will be the keynote speaker for a morning presentation at the Schools of Business and Technology and Liberal Arts.
